Dream Midtown, by Hyatt

Such a great experience staying at Dream! Friendly and attentive staff who are very respectful. Room was a bit outdated but in such a good location - it was close to Central Park and great restaurants. Stayed on the 8th floor & the rooftop view was gorgeous.

We had a wonderful stay at Dream Midtown. The rooms were clean, but what truly stood out was the exceptional customer service. On our first night, the concierge gave us a great dinner recommendation, and throughout our stay the entire staff was warm and welcoming. We also were allowed to drop off our luggage after checkout while we waited for our late night flight. I also want to highlight my positive interactions with the cleaning staff, who were incredibly friendly and helpful whenever I asked for extra towels or toilet paper. I may be misremembering his name, but Mr. Victor from housekeeping was especially attentive and kind. The location is perfect for anyone visiting New York — close to everything you could need. Will definitely be rebooking on our next visit.

Clean basic NYC hotel, but $800 a night, including a resort fee? Resort, but no coffee, no amenities? Just a rip off for tourists, but hey it might be a value vs. worse rip offs, and the room was clean. Get a king though - the standard rooms are tiny!

First time staying in NY overnight! This hotel is clean, stocked with good quality essentials, and in the heart of NY close to subway for cheap travel. I’d like to thank Dragana in maintenance for being so kind and helping me stock my room, the hotel is lucky to have such a hardworking employee!

This place does feel like a Dream, from the convenience of being in Midtown, to the small elevator and long hallways, stunning rooftop views, I'd stay again and recommend others. My stay was comfortable, slept well, some noise, the blinds helped defuse the lights outside the room window. There was a mix up with 3rd party payment however the staff was patient if reviewing payment history and effortless correct the duplicate charge. Exceptional staff and security. It's mentioned to return on a Thursday for the best nightlife on the rooftop lounge & bar, very spacious, indoor and outdoor rooftop seating.

I recently had difficulty in not being able to complete my travel plans and could not make it to NY. I spoke to Hyatt Dream hotels GM and explained my situation with my prepaid reservation and they could not have been more understanding. I typically stay at Hilton properties when I travel but I have had negative experiences with them recently. This treatment by the Dream Hotel will have me selecting Hyatt properties moving forward. Thank you to this Hyatt hotel for being so wonderful.

The room was pretty small but that worked for me. It's in a good location with nice staff. One critique is that the shower did not have any doors on them and a lot of water got onto the bathroom floor.

We checked out today. The hotel and rooms could use some TLC, we had a queen bed, and the room was kinda tight. It kind of felt like we were on a cruise; however the staff was incredible. Housekeeping kept our room nice and clean every day!! Absolutely Loved that!! Mike at the front desk was so caring, courteous and extremely nice. Location could not be better, short walk to Central Park, shops, Columbus circle, and train stations. Just know that NYC is known for the honking, sirens, cop cars noise etc, so don’t expect for rooms to be extremely quiet. We were on the 7th floor and could still hear it….we visit NYC twice a year and it doesn’t bother us at all, but if you or anyone in your party is susceptible to noise perhaps a room at higher floor MIGHT help. We were happy with it The bell staff can arrange car service to airport. We asked the day before checking out and it was perfect. We will definitely stay at the Dream again no question about that.
